Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the cauliflower and remove the outer leaves. Place it stem-side down on a cutting board and slice into 1-inch thick 'steaks.' You should get 2-3 nice slices from a large head of cauliflower.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Brush this seasoning mixture generously over both sides of each steak.
Cooking
- Place the cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Once perfectly roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Keep an eye on the cauliflower steaks to prevent overcooking; they should be tender but perfectly roasted. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
