Preparation
- Slice the halloumi cheese into thick slices, about 1 cm each.
Coating
- Set up a breading station. In a shallow dish, add the plain flour and mix in spices if desired.
Dredging
- Lightly coat each halloumi slice in the flour, ensuring every inch is covered. Shake off any excess flour.
Air Frying
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) and spray the basket with olive oil.
- Lay the breaded slices of halloumi in a single layer in the basket.
Cooking
- Spray a bit of olive oil on top of the cheese before cooking.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or toppings.
Notes
Serve with a refreshing salad or roasted vegetables. To elevate the dish, drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze. Store leftover halloumi in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
