  • 2 cups Water For boiling the rice
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For cooking
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground for best flavor
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water and drain.
  2. In a pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the rice to the pot and stir for a few minutes until slightly toasted.
  2. Add water and salt, bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and cover, cooking until water is absorbed and rice is tender.

Notes

Let the rice rest for a few minutes before serving for best texture.
