Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well-combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
- Lightly grease your air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
- Pour the brownie batter into the basket, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
Cooking
- Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Frosting
- If desired, whip together cream cheese, a bit of powdered sugar, and a splash of vanilla until smooth, then spread over the cooled brownies.
Notes
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerated for around a week, or frozen for up to three months. For best flavor and texture, allow brownies to cool completely before cutting.
