Ingredients

Brownie Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with vegan butter.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional
Optional Frosting Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese For frosting, optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well-combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
  5. Lightly grease your air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the basket, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
Cooking
  1. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Frosting
  1. If desired, whip together cream cheese, a bit of powdered sugar, and a splash of vanilla until smooth, then spread over the cooled brownies.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerated for around a week, or frozen for up to three months. For best flavor and texture, allow brownies to cool completely before cutting.
