- In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, unsweetened applesauce, red food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir to combine without overmixing.
- Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan, then cut into squares and enjoy.
